TERMOGASKET . designs and provides fabric expansion joints (or non-metallic expansion joints) for each individual application. Fabric or non-metallic expansion joints need to be designed so that an impermeable seal is maintained between the flue gas and the outside air. These factors include:

  • thermal motion
  • structural offset
  • abrasive conditions
  • acidic media
  • extreme temperatures
  • vibration
  • moisture build-up
  • pressure

Each expansion joint needs to be made with these in consideration. If the expansion joint is made to the proper specifications, it will be
optimal for application.
TERMOGASKET , designs and builds each expansion joint to meet the customer’s unique application, including the framing, insulation pillows and baffle plate arrangement.

Neopren 200N
Neopren 200-N is used in low temperature applications due to it’s outstanding flexibility, it is good for fan inlets and outlets where there is severe vibration. Available in belts or molded to ‘U’ shapes.

Fluoroelastomer 400V has excellent resistance to flue gas acids, such as sulfuric acid, and handles up to 400 degrees F.,600 degrees F.,
excursion. Available in belt or ‘U’ style.

Silicone 450S is used in hot air applications, where there is no sulphur present. It has outstanding weathering characteristics and excellent flexibility. It can handle temperatures up to 450 degrees F.

PTFE 500T is a PTFE Fluoroelastomer blend that features, excellent chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and is the most flexible
material used in the 500F-600F temperature range.

The Teflex series is a 100% fluoroplastic/glass with surface films that vary in thicknesses up to .060 thick. Teflex is good to 600 degrees F.
The LFP series is for extreme acidic conditions.

COMPOSITES TO 1000 DEGREES F. (750T)

Termogasket 750-T is a composite style expansion joint.
This style is for high temperatures that exceed the limits of the fluoropolymer. 750T
utilizes Vermacite fabric and Burlglass insulation that are sewn to the 500-T or Teflex
material. TP 750-T is suitable for acidic flue gas, and for temperatures up to 750
degrees continuous.

The 750-T is the most versatile of the Termogasket composite joints. However, each expansion joint is constructed to meet the demands of the media and application. For your specific application, please

COMPOSITES TO 1000 DEGREES F. (850T)

Termogasket 750-T  is a composite style expansion joint that utilizes’S’ glass fabric, Burlglass insulation, and an additional thermoglass layer that are sewn to the 500-T or Teflex material. The ‘S’ glass fabrics retain high tensile strength and flexibility when exposed to temperatures as high as 1000 degrees F. At 850 degrees the tensile strength remains as high as 400LBS/INCH.
